The news about these amendments really lightened up our suffering retrogressed souls.
But its really unfortunate to know that President Bush is gonna veto the bill altogether.

These few days are critical since November 16 is the adjournment date for Senate and no immigration bills will be approved in 2008.

A thought comes to mind on reading your post.
Is that what the average Amrican wants us to do? Do they want us immigrants to be kept away from participating in innovation? Do they want us to keep working mundane jobs? Do they want us to lag behind them?
This is just a speculation no hard proofs but only a thought.
Isn�t this what the American companies want?. They get qualified people who keep doing the same job for less and churning millions for the companies. Also, the big companies are fighting to get H1s quota increased, they do not care about whether these people get GCs are not, being in H1 for long serves them right.
Isn�t this what many people here want?. They can boss over us for many years even if you are more qualified then them since you cannot change your profile.

I can understand rejecting loans for H1 since it is supposed to be temporary employment, but it does not make sense to reject for people on EAD.
I am in the process of refinancing, but I provided my H1 papers instead of EAD and my application was approved.
It is possible each company has a different policy. I went through Wells Fargo this time.

One interesting thing from the anti-immigrant community represented by Steve King in this testimony was when he asked the Visa Division Chief, that -How many immigrants have we admitted to the United States between 1992-2006 who were refugees and asylees, that were not counted in the annual numerical limit? So, he basically wants to overwrite the Visa Recapture bill, by saying that since we admitted 'refugees and asylees' which were outside the limit, then there is no need to recapture unused visas, since those unused numbers have already been offset by refugees and asylees.

I just spoke with an Immigration Representative of my Senator. She knows me as I met her last year with my employer for my other issue.
She just informed me that we are (Not only we but whole Congress) shocked with un-precedent action of DOS/USCIS for July VB. Senator's Washington DC office is working on this issue including immediate legislative relief to Employment Based immigration. She is well aware of whole drama of July VB. I am going to call Washington DC Office as well.
I encourage every one call to their Senator and HR and speak with Immigration Representative. I think first time media and lawmakers have acknowledged the problem of Employment Based Immigration.

I am really appalled at the responses for the facts I posted here on the forum. I apologize to all who are offended by the posts.However I strongly believe that my comments represent facts.Personally I do not believe an individual can "bash" a country. Beppen, I joined the conference a little late and heard of Sen. Brownback's amendments for extension of J1 visa rule and no cap for nurses/physical therapists in H1. They will reconvene at 2.00 again and present more amendments if there are any

Do not think about inabilities of USCIS or it's management. I strongly believe that they do this intentionally. This will help US Citizens in general by reducing unemployment and at the same time grabbing Tax from us...

in a few months. In parallel, I had my labor approved via PERM too as a safety net, just in case dates become current.
I would personally suggest to change your case to RIR if it is not so and there
is no harm in getting PERM approval as well.
