I need your help to come to a conclusion on my issue.
1) I am on L1-b now in USA and working on company A
2) company B filed me and H1B as consulate process(means i have to get
stamped to start working for them)
Recently company B filed me labor+ I-140 mentioning as future employment and they are planning to file I 485 also now(since we have current dates)
Now I am planning to quit company A for who i am working on L1 and want to go for stamping to join company B who will be filing 485 for me. I have plans to travel to canada for stamping on August last week (after 485 filing).
Do we have any issues to get the stamping for new company who filed my 485
any help is greatly appriciated.

I am on US since Apr 2003 on L1B and it expires on Jan 25 2008
Last week my employer applied for L1A and it got approved. Approval notice says the new L1A visa is valid from Jan 26 2008 to Jan 26 2010(2 years)
I am planning to travel to india on vacation at dec 2007 and come back to US on Jan 1 2008
1) If I travel back to US on Jan 1 2008 without stamping L1A on passport, will the port of entry officer give I94 till Jan 26 2010 if I show the approved L1A I797 petition?
2) If I stamp L1A from India, when stamping the new L1A, I assume they will cancel my current L1B and stamp L1A which is valid only from Jan 26 2008. Am I correct? Then I will not be able to travel on Jan 1st 2008 since I dont have a valid visa stamped on passport at that time!
What to do ....Please help!

Could you post the actual percentage of EB legal immigrants. If it is 15% then it is sad. It should be at least 50% in order for the country to have the brightest talent.

I am currently attending a college here in China. However, I have been offered some interesting jobs . These jobs require that I have a resident visa. I have been told that I can't change from a student visa to a resident visa, while in mainland China. Is this accurate? If so, is Hong Kong an option for me?

Guys,
I need your inputs on a rather strange situation I'm in.
I have an approved EB3 140 based on a substitue labor, while waiting for my (EB2) labor. If I apply for a 3-year H1 extension based on my approved 140, can I subsequently use my labor (when it is approved) to file another 140 in EB2?
Secondly, if I get a raise - with everything else remaining the same - will it affect any of the above?
Really appreciate your comments!

started as an intern with local in the month of march 06 and I was given offer till end of august. but my school official gave me work permit on a semester basis and gave it only for srping 06, which end in may 15th. I couldn't update my CPT status for 1 day for summer 06 and started on 16th may, so the school official has said that i am out of status.Since re-instatement is not possible from school as it was unauthorized work permit. They have advised me to go to home country and attend visa to be eligible for reinstatement. I have grauduated last month with masters of science..
They said they will provide me recommendation letter for me to show to consular officer. Also, I have an MBA admit in same university for spring 2007.
so should i come to new program..if thats the case how to get an emergency appoitment.

Call me insanely confused idiot, but here is a thing:
I work for a major MNC (of course pays me 15% less than I should be making). My boss is also leaving the company. At the same time, I am getting an offer from another local (small) company, better position and pay. My GC is pending PD Jul-05/EB2 India from MNC. Should I leave at the 11th hour?

I have visa stamp in the name of previous employer and I 797 from current employer. I have traveled with these and had no problems at re-entry.
But previous employer has completed processing of my H1B cancellation. Can I still re-enter with visa stamp in the name of previous employer?
